The Heart for Anointing
Philippians 2:13 New International Version – for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.
The reason for the anointing is to the fulfill “God’s Good Purpose”, nothing more and nothing less; unless we have such a heart to carry the anointing of the Lord, we will not or might not see the fullness of the manifestation of the anointing of the Lord on our lives.
1 Samuel 13:14 New International Version – But now your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”
David was called a man after God’s own heart; this is why he won all his battles or the anointing of the Lord was so great and strong on him because he was able to have the Lord’s heart at any moment of his life.
This heart can only be achieved if and when we take the word of the Lord (the bible) to heart in surrender and in obedience.
