Inspirational Nugget
As a member of one of ancient Rome’s most illustrious families, Caesar Augustus was accustomed to public duties. When he was only 11, he delivered an oration at the service of his late grandmother – whose brother happened to be Julius Caesar.
Augustus’s profile continued to rise, helped in no small part by his increasingly powerful great-uncle. When he was 15 or 16, he joined Rome’s Council of Priests, a group that wielded significant authority over Roman life.

The Deeds of the Flesh – Debauchery
Galatians 5:19 New International Version – The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery…
Merriam-Webster Dictionary explains “debauchery – extreme indulgence in bodily pleasures”.
In our scripture study, Apostle John talks about the lust of the flesh and the eye and the pride of life – this is what empowers the flesh to live a life which is contrary or opposite to that which the bible prescribes for the child of God.
The proof that someone is living in debauchery is when everything should be about you and that things should be done your way or how you like it to be – God’s elect, you were brought unto earth to please the Father God in Christ Jesus but the Holy Ghost being your help and guide, secondly to people or the work why you were sent, and you are the third, why then do we always think about ourselves and we need things done our own way; this is a proof that we are enjoying the sin of debauchery.
Confession
In the Name of Christ Jesus, I live above bodily pleasure, I live to please You and Your purpose for my life, amen!
