The Fruits of the Spirit – Joy

Galatians 5:22 New International Version – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness…

Isaiah 12:3 – New International Version – With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

There is no way you would live a life of the Spirit without joy in your heart towards God, people and His creation. Joy is simply when a person or Christian is filled with the Holy Ghost; you cannot just help it but to be joyful.

I will define joy as that fulfilment that fills a person heart irrespective what they might be going through, that shows on their face as happiness. Mind you, happiness is as a result of a person’s happenings around him.

Joy is an act of and from the Spirit of the Living God. It would be very difficult for you to be even angry when you are walking in the joy of the Holy Ghost.

Confession

The joy of the Holy Ghost is in spirit and it bubbles our from my heart and mouth every day, in the Name of Jesus, amen!
