2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
The above scripture was God talking to King Solomon, when the temple he built for the Lord was being dedicated unto the Lord, which is prayer in itself (the prayer of dedication).
Now Solomon has serious encounters with God Himself, and all were through dreams; this means, King Solomon had a prayer life. Child of God, to progress in this our Christian walk or faith, prayer should be our lifestyle.
Even though you are asleep to have a dream, the mind of your soul is still active, and the Lord talks through the mind of the soul of a person. Thus, when the soul of the mind is pure, what will come through there, will be equally pure, and if it is contaminated too, what will come through there, will also be corrupted.
By default, this earth or world is corrupted because the devil is the prince or lord of the world now, after man handing the power over to him by sinning.
Thus, human beings are already in sin because we are in this world, and it has an effect on the minds of our soul. What can erase that sinful nature from the mind of a soul of a man, is prayer. When this is done, you will begin having good dreams because the channel through which the dream comes is cleared by prayer.

Lord Jesus, give me the grace for an effectual fervent prayer life, amen.
