Numbers 22:8 New King James Version 8 And he said to them, “Lodge here tonight, and I will bring back word to you, as the Lord speaks to me.” So the princes of Moab stayed with Balaam.
Faith is convincingly knowing that God will come to your aid at some point in life. In the Book of Numbers people came to ask of Prophet Balaam an issue of the Lord, and he says to them that they should wait in the night, so he brings them a Word from the Lord in the morning time.
Now, what makes Prophet Balaam convincingly sure that the Lord will speak to him during the night is faith, he is so sure that the Lord will speak to him during the night time; that is faith.
We need to grow and build our faith to the point that we should be able to petition the Lord to talk to us, during the night time in our sleep.
This is going to take a conscious effort on our side. Faith building is a great work which should be done on the part of the believer.
Confession
