The soul of man is that aspect of a man that connects the body to the Spirit of God. Whatever anybody needs or wants to be happens in his or her soul, because that is the place where emotions, intellect and our minds dwell. Even after death, the spirit of the man or person will return to God, while the body returns to dust because man was formed from the dust of the ground; now, it is the soul of a man that will either escape hell to heaven or vice versa. Thus, the true identity of a person is his or her soul, never and not his or her physical body.
Therefore, for the writer of our opening verse to mention; the Word of God is a rejoicing to his heart, just means anything that brings joy to his heart comes from the Word of God, the Word of God stabilises his emotions.
The Bible admonishes us on several occasions that we should rejoice in the Lord and our opening verse is also saying, the source of that joy is and through the Word of God. God’s elect, when and if the Word of God is taken seriously in our lives, there is no where we would hear or see anything like depression or bipolar in our lives for any reason; the absence of the Word of God, brings those negativity on us.
Declaration
In the Name of Jesus, the Word of God will keep on being a source of joy in my heart, amen!
