Psalm 119:101 || New King James Version || I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.

One of the key things the Word of God does to us or man is; He (the Word) is able to make us live righteous (right standing with God), that not to sin. The Word of God has the power to restrain us from anything sin or also has the power of self-control. Many at times, the Christian with the Holy Spirit and the heart for the Lord Jesus, will have the passion to live righteously and not to sin, but the power to be able to live that righteous life devoid of sin is and will be found in the Word of God.

The way of the righteous is the way of God, and the way of sin is the way of satan or the devil. It takes thoughts to be on the way or path of the devil, the same way it takes simple thoughts to be on the way of the Lord, but that thought that it will take us to be on the way of the Lord which is righteousness is and can only be found in the Word of God.

This is why our opening verse will say; I have retrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep Your Word.

Declaration

In the precious Name of Jesus, I live by the Word of God, I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I will keep Your Word, hallelujah, amen!
