Psalm 119:71 || King James Version || It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.

Christianity or humanity as a whole have taken the subtle decision to just be with God or authority in trying or difficult times or when they are afflicted, but which ought not to be so. God is a loving Father and a Friend to us at the same time, He needs us by Him every hour, minute and seconds of our life.

The writer of our opening verse is saying; it is good for him that he is afflicted because that is the time that he will be able to learn the statutes of God or the Word of God. This is good anyway. The writer is saying to us that, when and if we feel or are afflicted in any way, all we need to do is to pick the Word or the statutes of the Lord God because that is the only place we can find salvation or deliverance, never on the internet or the council of man.

God’s elect, decide and choose the Word of God to be the last say in your life, no matter what happens or life presents to you. Apostle Peter says, the devil our adversary roams like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, he gets some people though, but whether he gets you or not, you still need to maintain the Word of God has your standard, that will make you personalize Him and learn Him.

Declaration
