Psalm 119:60 || New King James Version || I made haste, and did not delay to keep Your commandments.
We need to have a sense of urgency in life; we need to take life seriously because that is the first gift God gave to man in His own wisdom. Procrastination is one the tools that is making us not to fulfil destiny or accomplish our visions or missions on the earth.
When the Word of the Lord comes to us, either through our conscience, a preacher man, or direct from the Word of God, we need to be haste or quick to obey whatever it is; not tomorrow or when we are twenty five (25), but it should be in the now, the just shall live by his faith and faith is “now”.
That urgency which was in the life of the writer of this Psalm which was also in Christ Jesus, which made them make haste or obey the Word of God promptly has to dawn on us as children of God; which is His fear in our hearts.
God’s elect, never delay when it comes to obedience to the Word of the Lord, when you do not obey the instructions of your teacher in class, how then would you be able to pass the examination set to promote you to the next level?
God’s elect, it should either be God or nothing or nobody at all; and this can only be done when we give our all to the Word of God with a sense of urgency or haste.
Prayer
The Lord God, help us to be able to be doers of the Word of God and not hearers only, amen!
