Psalm 138:2 New King James Version || I will worship toward Your holy temple, And praise Your name For Your loving-kindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

Daniel 6, talks about Daniel finding favour in the sight of king Darius because of his outstanding performance in his kingdom during his reign. The enemies of Daniel seeing him to be promoted conspired to go to the king to make a law against the prayer life of Daniel; that whoever prays thirty (30) not to the king dies in the lions’ den.

Daniel could not hold but went to pray, and he was reported by his enemies, it was the king who made that law, but here is the case his friend Daniel had go against his law, so he had no option than to put Daniel in the lions’ den because his law or word is lifted, risen and magnified above his name or throne.

The above illustration is the same as our opening verse saying God has magnified His Word above His Name. This is why the Word of God should be known at all cost, God’s elect, do everything possible to know the Word of God. You might use the Name of the Lord in a situation that might fail, but getting the Word of God concerning that same situation will never fail for He has magnified His Word above His Name, the Lord be praised, amen!
