Hebrews 4:12 New King James Version || For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Have you had the experience where you really wanted to do something and the Word of God comes to your heart or mind, either to approve or disprove whatever you had in mind; you might even sometimes feel apologies to the people you might have wronged, in one way or the other?
The Bible calls the heart of a man desperately wicked (Jeremiah 17:9), at times we are so wicked in our thoughts, words and actions even without knowing, but as soon as we open ourselves to the Word of God either in our hearts or the written Word called the Bible, we realise how wicked we have become in our dealings and what we need to do at that junction is just to repent and ask grace for the continuation of God’s journey with us.
It is very dangerous as a child of God to be on the earth without exposing yourself to the Word of God, because, it is either the Word of God which is reigning in your heart at a moment or the words of the devil, you can never be in the middle.
God’s elect, let us therefore go for the word of God so that we would be able to discern the thoughts and the intents of our hearts.
