2 Timothy 3:16 King James Version || All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
“For training in righteousness”, there is what is called “the gift of righteousness” and “the working or the deeds of righteousness”; after you have received Christ Jesus as your Lord and Personal Saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your tongue that Christ Jesus came to die and resurrected on the third day, you receive the gift of righteousness. Now that gift of righteousness should empower or enable you for the deeds or acts of righteousness. Righteousness means “a right standing with the Lord or God”.
Thus for us to have a right standing with God through the acts or deeds of righteousness, we have to be trained to have that right standing with the Lord and that training can only be acquired through the Word of God. The word of God is a tool for training for the believer or God’s elect. We are in a fight in this life, whether we like it or not, and the fight or battle will always be won at the training grounds, never at the battlefield. God’s elect, we need to allow ourselves to be trained by the word of the Lord.
God’s elect, by now, you should know there is no way you can live without the word of God because it is the ultimate in the life of the believer. Set aside time and study Him.
