1 Kings 19:19 New King James Version || …then Elijah passed by him and threw his mantle on him.

2 Kings 2:8,13-14 King James Version || 8 Now Elijah took his mantle, rolled it up, and struck the water; and it was divided this way and that, so that the two of them crossed over on dry ground. 13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him… 14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

A mantle is or anything that carries the anointing of the Lord on a person’s life. The hem of the garment of Christ Jesus healing the sick is a mantle, the aprons that left Apostle Paul to heal the sick was a mantle.

There are stories of modern men of God recordings or tapes, shirts, handkerchiefs and items from their bodies healing the sick and doing miracles all to the glorification of our Lord Christ Jesus.

Any Anointing too any man or woman has walked in is also a mantle, thus, we can talk about the prayer and fasting mantle, knowledge, wisdom and understanding mantle, healing mantle, riches mantle, faith mantle, the list can be endless but it is good we desire mantles God had placed on people so we can have it for the work ahead.

In our opening and scripture study, Elija uses his mantle for Elisha and even leaves it for him upon his departure from the earth, that is just his Anointing in the Name of a mantle.

I pray for you in the Name of Jesus that you receive any mantle needed for the pursuance of God’s agenda for your life, amen!
