Proverbs 9:10 New King James Version – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 1:7 New King James Version – The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
The fear of the Lord is simply a holy reverence unto our Lord God, where we see Him as the ultimate, all of all and all in all.
With this kind of mindset or mentality, it is going to inform how we think, talk and even act. The fear of the Lord should be on the heart of every believer, for the bible says it is the beginning of wisdom and of knowledge, and one can never live a peaceful and a successful life without knowledge and wisdom.
The bible says, lack of knowledge My(God) people perish and wisdom is the principal thing which is profitable to direct.
It is this holy reverence or the fear of the Lord our God who will make us go to the Lord to seek after His word through prayer and His Spirit, so that we would be able to live a purposeful, peaceable and a successful life to the glory of the Lord.
Declaration
In the Name of Jesus, I walk in the fear of the Lord, I walk in the consciousness that God is with me, I live in and with the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, Jesus is glorified in my life through the fear of the Lord, amen!
