Philippians 4:8 New King James Version
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Proverbs 23:7 New King James Version
For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.
“Eat and drink!” he says to you,
But his heart is not with you.
John 3:3 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.
Romans 12:2 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].
The Christian experience starts from the Spirit which manifests in the mind, this is why you need to know how to think, because how you think has all to say about who you actually are; the clear and natural difference between the Christian and the unbeliever is their mindset. This is why we are admonished to renew our minds with the Word of God so will know what our God demands from us.
Without us ruling our minds through its renewal with the word of God, our Christian experience will be nothing to write home about.
