Hebrews 10:24-25 New King James Version – 24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
The beginning of what we call the church today begun in the book of Acts 2. God’s elect, we have the church as a person (the believer) and the church also as a place; I am talking about the church as a place.
Well, you might say you have God in your heart, very true, but that God is mostly glorified in your life when you sit under a shepherd who is always in the church to teach you the word of God and what the Lord lays on his heart.
Ephesians 4:11-12 New King James Version – 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the [a]edifying of the body of Christ.
The above fivefold ministry is perfected most of the times in the church. The scripture always talks about Christ Jesus in the temple or the synagogue, and even the early apostles who followed Christ Jesus.
Child of God, a thriving kingdom runs under principles, and one of the principle of our kingdom is church going – the assembly of the brethren – we being obedient to this simple principle is a prove that we are sons and daughters of the kingdom.
