Hebrews 12:5-6 New International Version — and have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”

God’s elect, let us love discipline especially when it is coming from a loved one like the Lord, parents, teachers or even the word of God primarily.

There is no time of discipline which will be pleasing to anyone but it is to make us better for the future.

There are people who have been on the earth before our arrival, like parents, teachers, pastors, leaders of every endeavour, they have always been at a stage where we are in the present; thus when they say, do not do that, say or think or go there, it a form of discipline for our betterment.

In our opening scripture, it is only those the Lord loves He will keep on chastising or disciplining. It is only a fool who will be angry or upset when he is wrong and knows and he is being disciplined or reprimanded will be angry.

Child of God let us love discipline for that is the will of God for His beloved children; it is the will of God that some people come our way or life to keep us on track through discipline and chastisement.

Declaration

In the Name of Jesus, I love discipline and the people who extend a hand of discipline towards me; at everywhere I find and see myself, amen!
