1 Peter 1:15-16 (New King James Version) – 15but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”

Holiness is simply the realm of God, where everything is perfect in the sight of God. If the bible says we have to be holy because our Father is holy, this means we have to be in the realm or the place of God, in our minds, words and even in conduct or character as our opening verse puts it.

The realm of God is of no sin but there are much issues pertaining to the holiness of God just more than a realm without sin. The searching of God is indefinite and we can never end searching of His understanding, therefore, the more you know God, the more holy (the domain or realm of God) you will be. Example, there is joy in the presence of God, therefore holiness now demands that we are always joyful no matter what, and also give a heart of gratitude.

Thus, for us to be holy because our Father who is in heaven holy, then we have to be students of the word of God, thereby knowing the holiness of our God, so we would be able to live it first from our thought life, our words then in conduct or behavior.

Confession

In the Name of Jesus, I have the passion and I study God’s word, I know what to do at any time to be able to be holy as my Father is holy, Lord Jesus, I still praise, You!
