1 Peter 5:5-6 New King James Version – Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,

Being humble or humility should be the first character of the child of God, because without it, we will not be able to submit to the authority of Christ Jesus.

Seeing the life of Christ on earth, He always submitted to the authority of the Father, that is why He says, He does what He sees or hears the Father do or say.

Christ Jesus being our Lord means, He is our Master and masters does nothing but gives instructions for the obedient of their sub-ordinates, which is the believer.

We cannot just say we are obedient to the Lord leaving our earthly masters or overseers out of the picture, a big no. They might not be super men, but we need to also obey them; the will of the Father towards us, as children of God.

Ephesians 6:1-3 New King James Version – 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

You can be humble through the word, fasting and prayers.

Confession

In the Name of Jesus, I am clothed with the garment of humility so, I receive grace to submit to the Lordship of Christ Jesus, amen!
