3 John 2 King James Version – Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
Psalm 1:3 New International Version – That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
Joshua 1:8 King James Version – This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Prosperity is the will of God for His children and also inclusive of His plans for His children. Prosperity is simply the advancement of the plan of God for a person’s life. God brought us on earth for work or His own purpose: the identification of that work or purpose, and working or maximizing it to God’s potential or plan, is said to be prosperity.
What has to be the measure or standard for the prosperity of the children of God is the very word of God. Moses, called as a deliverer was prosperous not when he was tending to the sheep of his in law (Exodus 2). If God has called you as an engineer and you are making waves in there, then you are said to be prosperous in the eyes of God, not when you become a billionaire.
Confession
In the Precious Name of Jesus, I am prosperous, in my walk with the Lord and the knowledge of Him, in my education because He has said; He will perfect all that concerns me, hallelujah, amen!
