1 Peter 2:12 New King James Version – having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
Matthew 5:16 New King James Version – Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Our God and Lord is a good God and Lord, how come can’t we be imitators of Him? As He is, so are we in this life. We are the light of the world; people should see our good works because our God is a good God.
Doing well is simply being good to humanity and our environment; this is what brings glory to the Father because that is one of His many wills, desires, plans, or visions for our lives.
We do not have to struggle to do good because being good is not something we do, but we are good people because we are born of a good God.
Have compassion for people and the earth we dwell on, with this kind of mentality or mind-set, you will be amazed at how you will begin to be thinking, talking and even doing; doing good.
If and when you are doing well, people are watching, that is lives being transformed for the glory of God. You cannot love or do well to your neighbor and think you are being good to God, we have not seen?
We are admonished to do good wherever we find ourselves, amen!
Prayer
In name of Christ Jesus, I ask and receive the grace to be able to do good works to the glorification of your Name, amen!
