The Motive of the Anointing
John 11:4 New International Version – When he heard this, Jesus said, “This sickness will not end in death. No, it is for God’s glory so that God’s Son may be glorified through it.”
Our motive is one of the things that moves the Lord and which will also bring His anointing down on our lives as His children.
What is the motive behind what you do, say or even think? In accordance to the scriptures, the only motive why we should do things should be to glorification of Christ Jesus or God.
Colossians 3:17 New International Version – And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
As Christians, all our ambitions or motivations about life should be to the glory of the Son of God, Christ Jesus, if and when we live our lives with such motive, sin will be far away from us and we will shine above our peers because the Father of Glory and Light is our motivation and our motive is just to glorify His Name; this is when the anointing of God can have a free flow in our lives.
Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I sustain the right motive to glorify the Lord when and if I am anointed, amen!
