Adam Hughes Putnam (born July 31, 1974) is an American politician who served as the 11th Commissioner of Agriculture of Florida from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he previously served in the U.S. House of Representatives for five terms, representing the Central Florida-based 12th congressional district. He chaired the House Republican Conference from 2007 to 2009.

Your Mortal Body
Romans 8:11 New International Version – And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.
God’s elect, the Spirit of the Lord came to give power not only over the evil one but also over our mortal or physical body; in fact, what magnifies the works or deeds of the flesh in our life is the enemy or the devil.
It is also our mortal bodies we use for sin of any kind, thus us being able to overcome sin or the deeds of the flesh will be a resultant factor of the Spirit of the quickening or giving life to our mortal bodies.
The first point of death or sin to the believer is when he falls into sin because he or she is unable to put the body under the control of the Holy Spirit. The most effective way to put the body under the leadings of the Holy Spirit is through fasting and prayers which is done on continuous.
We should trust the Holy Spirit to be able to rule over our bodies so our bodies should not rather rule over us because that would be a life living to please satan or the devil.
