Walking After the Flesh

Romans 8:1 King James Version – There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

We have being able to discuss the deeds or acts of the flesh some few days ago; to be able to always yield or perform the deeds of the flesh, you need to first walk in or after the flesh. The only way you will not be able to walk after the flesh is when we walk after the Spirit (Galatians 5:16).

The flesh can also be termed as “the self or carnality”. All of these starts when we become selfish (lovers of self even above God or people); that is what stems out to be the flesh, carnality or the self.

All the great people who fell, starting from Adam started to be selfish, either thinking of themselves or want to get some kind of pleasure without thinking about its consequences.

The only prescribed way to live above the flesh is to live by the Spirit of the Living God, but the empowerment of the Spirit will come through the word, fasting and prayers.

Prayer

In Name of Jesus, deliver me from anything that has to do with my flesh, self or carnality with the help of the Holy Ghost, amen!
