The Spirit of the Lord; the Garment of Praise

Isaiah 61:3 King James Version – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

A garment is simply attire which we put on to cover our nakedness to make us look presentable but our kind of attire or garment is what we put on 24/7 because it not to our physical body but to our spirit and soul.

Praise or praises simply means having a reverence to the Lord, through our heart, mind, tongue and even how we act. The bible didn’t say we should praise God in the church or during a program or an event but we should have the garment of on. The garment of praise or any spiritual garment like the garment of prayer, worship, and the list can be endless; it should be like how air is to the human body for living or existence.

God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), it means when we praise He lives in our praises.

Confession

I ask and receive the garment of praise in the Name of Jesus, I walk in the praises of the Lord.
