The Spirit of the Lord: Beauty for Ashes
Isaiah 61:3 King James Version – To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.
Joel 2:25 King James Version – And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
Every problem that has ever come on man, after God’s perfect and fine creation was brought on man by man himself, we can talk about Adam and Eve, Cane and Abel, Sampson, Moses, the list is just unending.
God in His infinite wisdom brought the up a restoration (to bring back the original) plan just to place man at the realm He placed man, irrespective of how evil man has become.
Beauty for ashes, God through His word is telling us that, for ashes, He will give us His very own beauty, such a loving Father He is, he never deals with us base on how good or bad we are, this is one of the many things the Spirit of the Lord does.
Confession
Hallelujah, I am receiving and have beauty of ashes; nothing bad comes near my dwelling in Jesus, amen!
