The Spirit of the Lord – To Comfort All Who Mourn
Isaiah 61:2 New International Version – to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn
All what we have been discussing about the Spirit of God is all the work that the Spirit of the Lord does in a person, yes, He does it but very through a person. Humans or men generically are the channel through which God expresses Himself.
Comfort simply means what makes us feel at peace and at rest even though there’s chaos or confusion all over. We are in the season of Covid-19 pandemic, people are living in fear and panic, but I tell you, I and some people are living in total peace, joy and at rest of every side, why? Just because the Comforter who is in the person of the Holy Spirit will always comfort us with His word through His Spirit.
This comforting voice can come to you in a way you might never be able to explain but you just know you have being comforted by the Holy Spirit, while everyone is just crying, whirling and confused, you will just be at peace smiling, some may even tell you how insane you are, God’s elect, I tell you, that is the comforting voice of the Spirit of the Lord.
