The Spirit of the Lord; Release from Darkness
Isaiah 61:1 New International Version – The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
We have a great work to do as believers or children of God, we were redeemed from the shackles of darkness to help redeem other, thus we can not to be passive Christians but active Christians, participating in Christian activities like evangelism because that is the major if not the only way people can be freed from darkness.
Whoever who is not in Christ Jesus is in total, complete, absolute and gross darkness; “2 Corinthians 4:4 New International Version – The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Colossians 1:13 New International Version – For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,”
Thus, we need to participate on freeing the in darkness (people without Christ Jesus).
