The Spirit of the Lord; to Proclaim Freedom
Isaiah 61:1 New International Version – The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…
We are to proclaim freedom as well to our world. Our world simply means our environment which includes people and things that makes us live or alive. People are in bondage even in their minds, people are in bondage even with their emotions, this earth is even in bondage (Romans 8:19 NIV – For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.)
We cannot turn a deaf ear or a blind eye to the earth the Lord has blessed us with, when we look around and see a dirty environment, this should tell us, that the earth even needs freedom from us. Humanity is in bondage or prison of a sort because of our own actions and inactions, let’s just see the global warming disturbing us every day, it means this earth is really awaiting the manifestation of the children of God as the above scripture calls it.
Confession
In the Name of Jesus, I proclaim freedom to every captive in life, both to humans with the entire environments.
