We Are Servants of Christ

Galatians 1:10 New International Version (NIV) – Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

A servant is simply a person who serves as a master. Even though we have been bought with a price by the blood of Jesus, we seized to be servants from the evil one and became servants to God through Christ Jesus.

Therefore, we need to function as servants do to a master and we need to be loyal servants because our Master is a loyal Master.

This brings us to the servanthood to our Lord and Master Christ Jesus because we are now in His domain or kingdom and He is the King of kings. We need to be obedience to this King by obeying whatever He tells to do, first, through His Holy Word.

What He first needs from us is an intimate relationship, that is why He would always come into the garden in the cool of the day just to talk with the first man, Adam, in the book of Genesis.

We need to be pleasers of God only because of our servanthood to His Lordship.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I thank you for making me one of your servants, I pray to ask for the heart to be a good servant in your vineyard.
