The Kingdom of God
Luke 11: 20 (NIV) – But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
I promised we would be talking about seeking the kingdom of God yesterday, but it is important we know what is the kingdom or the kingdom of God before we proceed.
The kingdom of God is a person personified which is Christ Jesus. The kingdom of God is not or never a country somewhere or a place in space but the person of God who is revealed in Christ Jesus.
A kingdom can simply describe or defined as an environment or a jurisdiction or a realm with a king. In this our case as believers, Jesus is our King because He is the King of kings according to the bible.
Acts 17:28 (NIV) – ‘For in Him we live and move and have our being’. In this scenario, our realm, jurisdiction or environment is Jesus Himself and He is also the King in the kingdom.
Sweetheart, so our King is Christ Jesus, and our Kingdom is still Him, so when we say we are seeking the kingdom, it simply means we are seeking Jesus.
Prayer
I pray in the Name of Jesus that, I have the passion and the power to seek the kingdom of God in the person of Christ Jesus.
