Ecclesiastes 11:4 Amplified Bible (AMP) – He who watches the wind [waiting for all conditions to be perfect] will not sow [seed], and he who looks at the clouds will not reap [a harvest].
Procrastination is simply doing something on a later date whiles it can be done now. There an old adage that says, “Procrastination is a thief of time”.
Well, school just resumed, why won’t you start studying now, and you are saying and thinking you will study when it’s midterm or when it’s getting close to examination? That is procrastination – it is unwise for a child of God to do that.
You can iron Saturday evening for Sunday church, you can also iron your school uniforms Sunday evening for Monday school, why do you need to wait till the morning before you do your ironing while sitting behind the television or just chatting with friends – Sweetheart, that’s laziness and our God is against lazy people.
Procrastination has robbed people from the glorious destiny God had in store for them. Everything about this life is about time, time and time. Well, with God all things are possible, but I’m yet to see a footballer who hasn’t trained for five years and still wants to play football.
As a teenager, there are things you need to get done now, bae, like I mean now, an example is gaining knowledge, either in the school, informal education, learning a trade or a skill for your own future.
Because I love you, let me tell you the truth, “life will never get simpler but more and more complicated” – so whatever you need to do, please do it now and I mean like now.
Prayer
Lord and Master Jesus, we thank Your Holy Name again, we ask that Your Holy Spirit always talk to our heart to know what to do now and never to procrastinate, amen!
