1 Corinthians 13:4 New International Version (NIV) – …it does not boast,…
Love does not boast. To boast simply means to think, talk or act in a way that everyone knows see you but no other and being the center of attraction.
Mark 10:18 Amplified Bible (AMP) – Jesus said to him, “[a] Why do you call Me good? No one is [essentially] good [by nature] except God alone.
That is Master Christ Jesus Himself talking in the above scripture, He doesn’t want or need to make Himself the center of attraction even though He was a man and God at the same time.
Why then do we men or his children want to be the center attraction everywhere we go or find ourselves? We will intentionally do things to receive “funs”. A young woman or man helps you do a thing, him or she wants you to broadcast it in the school, in the church in the community, please why? Walk-in love!
Nonetheless, Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:31 1 Corinthians 1:31 – Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” Sweetheart, you see here, we should boast but in the Lord, meaning, our boasting should point to God or Jesus because they are the reason why are living.
All things should be done unto the Lord or in the Name of the Lord as a believer. Immediately, we boast, we are absent from the love of God and the bible critically and emphatically tells us to walk in love.
So, sweetheart, I know the Holy Spirit will help us walk in that love in the Precious Name of Jesus.
Meditation
1 Corinthians 4:7 Amplified Bible (AMP) – For who regards you as superior or what sets you apart as special? What do you have that you did not receive [from another]? And if in fact, you received it [from God or someone else], why do you boast as if you had not received it [but had gained it by yourself]?
