Being kind is the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate – google.com definition but I define being kind just being good.
Love is just being good to people which first starts in the heart or thinking good about and for people. You can’t say you love someone when you always think and talk bad or negative behind them, for whatever reason. I am not saying, it is bad when someone is wrong and needed to be reported to the authorities, for the necessary action to be taken. You just have people who will always be thinking negative about people.
The other one is being good in person. Being good means, being good. You share what you have with someone. You wish good and the best for someone. This is the life we should live not just to our family and loved ones but even to our enemies because Jesus said, we should be able to love even our enemies.
1 John 4:20 New International Version – Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.
Sweetheart, it is our responsibility to love or do good to people as Christians, even to the environment that we find ourselves. Love simply means, doing good to people as the bible has instructed us through the Holy Bible.

Lord and Master Jesus, I thank You for revealing Yourself to me through Your word and teaching me how to love as You also love, I praise Your Name!
