1 Corinthians 15:33 Amplified Bible (AMP) – Do not be deceived: [a] “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
Association is very important in our lives and in our Christian walk. I am not saying you don’t talk with a classmate, or a neighbor who you think is a bad boy or girl.
What I mean here is we need not make friends with people who are not of our Christian standard, some Christians also live below that standard, which is even very active in the church.
Sweetheart, listen to me, the church is never for perfect people but for perfecting(present continue) people. You don’t just see people in the church and jump unto them, I am not saying we shouldn’t have associations but should be done with the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We are called to call the unsaved or the unbelievers or the sinners to Christ but it should be done with caution and wisdom with the help of the Holy Spirit. Example, a girl shouldn’t go and sit in a boy’s room always watching a movie in the name of taking him to church or winning him for Christ. It is wrong and dangerous; you might end up being on bed with him or her.
We should be very mindful of the friends or the associations we keep at this age and even the ages to come in later years.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for guiding me to the right people and at the right time. I pray that you help me make Godly friends, that will make me know You more and better, amen!
