Matthew 5:13 Amplified Bible (AMP) – “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its taste (purpose), how can it be made salty? It is no longer good for anything, but to be thrown out and walked on by people [when the walkways are wet and slippery].

Salt is a preservative substance to food and adding taste to our meals. Why did Jesus in the bible liken us to the salt to the earth then?

Wow! Meaning indeed we are the salt of the earth and everything she(earth) includes. We are not just to make life better for people but also to add salt to the earth as a whole, and all the creation of mankind especially the natural resources God has created for his people.

There countless people in the bible who really lived as the salt of the earth. Being a salt to the earth simple means, you add something positive to the earth or humanity.

Example, are the Daniel, Joseph, David, Solomon, Samson, and everyone in the heroes of faith in Hebrews 11.

That power and energy, preservative power and authority is now given to us by God that, we should preserve and make things better in this life, even the earth the Lord created.

See yourself, as a salt, a preservative and to cause a positive change wherever you find yourself.

Confession

Lord Jesus, thank You for making me a change causer, I am called out, separated and anointed to be a positive change causer or a preservative everywhere I find myself.
