Luke 10:38 – 42 New International Version (NIV)

At the Home of Martha and Mary

38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. 40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!” 41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one. [f] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

Honey, please, please and please, I am not and neither is Jesus saying we should not help people at home or at any place our help is needed.

Jesus and I are also not saying we should go and carry a bible or pray when there is physical work to do. You do the right thing at the right time.

What Master Jesus is saying, is that the best thing to do which cannot be taken from you is listening to the word of God. The Christian you would become has everything to with the amount of the word of God you hear or listen.

We are in the era of technology, if even you can’t get a gadget to hear the word of God, pick the bible and read to yourself, it’s all listening.

When you go to school, get close to friends that talk or speak the word of God so that you will take the advantage to hear the word of God.

I am not saying, we should be roaming to be listening to all manner of people, please no but just have a sincere heart and decide to hear the word of God on daily basis for that is going to make you.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You once again, I ask that you give me the desire and make me swift to hear the word of God.
