Isaiah 12:3 The Message (MSG) — Joyfully you’ll pull up buckets of water from the wells of salvation.
Psalm 118:14 New International Version — The LORD is my strength and my defence; he has become my salvation.
The Person of our salvation is Christ Jesus. As the above scripture says, He’s become our salvation.
Let’s not forget our opening scripture is saying with joy we pull up buckets of water from the wells of salvation.
What is joy, then? Joy is simply that fulfilment or some kind of happiness (joy goes far beyond happiness anyway) in our hearts that we can’t really tell how and where it comes from.
To be able to take or receive from Jesus, because He’s become our salvation, we need to always walk with and in joy. The Bible never says, with worrying, crying or being sad or rumours will let us draw from Jesus, no, but rather with joy.
We have the responsibility then to make sure we maintain a life of joy always at every time of our lives — because that is the only way we can draw or receive from the Lord Jesus. We need to go according to the standards of God, which is all written in the word of God.
We need to always and every time set our hearts to be flowing with joy which comes from the Holy Spirit who is in us as believers. There is some bad news that we can’t escape, but it shouldn’t affect our joy in any way because the only person who will and can comfort us is the Holy Spirit, and He will only comfort us when we set our hearts on Him with joy in our hearts that, He is our Comfort.
Prayer
Dear Precious Holy Spirit, thank You, that You are making joy spring out of my soul every time, because You said, out of my belly shall flow rivers of living waters, hallelujah!
